July 2008, Brhonda was interviewed by Rome News - Tribune.
We were invited to help burn pottery at the 2nd firing of the Knoxville,
Ga. Wood Kiln in Crawford County. The Macon Ledger was there to take photos. We had several pieces
that were in the kiln, we have a few pieces left for sale. With several people helping, the day started about 8am with
glazing the pottery and then loading the kiln, the small fire was started about 11am, then adding wood all during the day
to get the temperature up in the kiln, this photo was taken about 9pm, we finished up around 11pm. A long day but a lot of fun!
About 36 hours later, the kiln was unloaded and the pottery was sold
at the kiln opening.

Payne Pottery was photographed for an article about Folk
Potters in North Georgia in the North Georgia Living Magazine,
November 2007 issue, they talk about the old and new generation
